Often, building structures require additional elements that help protect the house structures from the negative effects of the environment. One of them is a tin roof parapet.
A parapet is a continuation of the wall above the roof covering. Parapets are used not only to perform an aesthetic function, but also to ensure the safety of people on the roof, maintain the integrity of the roof, protect the roof from precipitation and any climatic effects, for example, from water entering the insulation layers or the roof material from the effects of roof flows.
When manufacturing parapets, it is necessary to take into account the quality and accuracy of the sheet metal in the bending process, as this will determine the service life of the product and the success of the installation process. Properly made and installed, quality tin parapets can last for several decades, depending on the material chosen.
Parapets are produced from 1.5-2.0 mm thick sheet metal on automatic machines, according to individual data provided by the customer, so all manufactured parts are extremely accurate. When installing parapets, galvanized parapet brackets (holders) must be used in accordance with STR requirements. They are designed to prevent damage to the tin during installation. The brackets are made of 1.5-2.0 mm galvanized tape, the installation step is every 0.6 m. In the holders, according to the customer's wishes, holes of any diameter are pressed on the press in the specified places.
The color of parapets can be chosen from a large palette of colors, and they can be both glossy and matte. You can also choose tins with different coatings (e.g. smooth, rough, wood imitation, etc.).
Parapet installation principles
The tin parapet is installed on the seam of the roll.
2nd brackets (1.25 m) are assigned to the 1st parapet.
The parapet is either installed on the bracket or follows the principle of tension.
No roof bolts shall be drilled into the tin part of the parapet.
The slope of the parapet is formed on the inner side of the roof.
The parapet must be separated from the wall by at least 50 mm.
